About the roleWe are seeking a YouTube Thumbnail Designer & Art Director to lead our thumbnail design team that supports multiple high‑traffic technology, AI, SaaS, tutorial and educational channels. In this remote, long‑term position you will own the concept‑selection process, guide designers, and continuously improve our AI‑driven workflow to maximise click‑through rates.Key responsibilitiesGenerate, refine and engineer prompts for AI design tools (Nano Banana Pro, Midjourney, Flux) to produce high‑quality thumbnail concepts.Review AI‑generated and designer‑created concepts, decide which move to production or A/B testing, and define testing logic.Provide clear, actionable feedback to thumbnail designers and mentor the design team.Conduct competitor and topic research to translate winning thumbnail trends into concept direction.Maintain and evolve the concept workflow, prompt library and knowledge base per channel.Ensure title‑thumbnail alignment with each channel’s brand guidelines and manage throughput and deadlines across multiple channels.Required profileProven track record of creating thumbnails that significantly improved CTR, with measurable results.Strong judgment on visual elements that drive clicks: contrast, emotion, readability at small sizes, intrigue and overall packaging.Experience leading or directing designers, giving data‑driven feedback and resolving creative disagreements.Hands‑on proficiency with AI design tools and advanced prompt‑engineering capabilities.Required skillsNano Banana ProMidjourneyFluxPrompt engineering for AI‑generated imagery
